In our fast-paced world, finding the balance between achieving goals and maintaining mental well-being can be challenging. Yet, awareness is a powerful tool that awakens bliss consciousness, enabling us to perform at our best. By incorporating mental training into our routines, we can align ourselves with a more fulfilling and peaceful way of life.
Athletes like U.S. Olympic champion Simone Biles exemplify how mindfulness — through practices such as meditation, mindfulness, and visualization — is essential, not just in sports, but in every aspect of life. These tools have helped her not only achieve greatness but also maintain it with grace and balance.
Mindfulness isn’t just reserved for the rich and famous; it is beneficial to anyone, in any walk of life. Here are some practical tips to enhance your mental training and nurture your well-being:
- Start the Day with Gentle Yoga Movements or Stretching – Begin your morning with sun salutations or gentle stretches to awaken your body and mind. This helps set a positive tone for the day and cultivates a sense of calm and readiness.
- Practice Breathwork – Incorporate coherence breathing into your daily routine to manage mental fluctuations. Breathe in for a count of four and out for four or five, repeating this cycle to balance and calm your nervous system.
- Practice Meditation – Find a quiet place to sit and silently explore your inner landscape by asking yourself soul questions like “Who am I?”, “What do I want?”, “What is my purpose?” and “What am I grateful for?” Transition into focusing on a mantra, such as “So Hum,” for a few minutes and complete with setting your soul intentions for a joyful energetic body, a loving compassionate heart, a reflective, alert and blissful mind, and a lightness of being.
- Have Fun – Make time every day to do something that brings you joy. Engage in activities you love, whether it’s cooking, reading, or spending time with loved ones. This fosters happiness and reduces stress.
- Connect with Nature – Replenish your energy by grounding or earthing yourself in nature. Walk barefoot on grass, sand, or soil to absorb the earth’s natural energies, which can rejuvenate your body and spirit.
